Use case
A different attachment for every recipient
Invoices, event tickets, payslips, grade reports: any time each person needs their own file. Postgun reads your list, finds each recipient's file by a filename pattern you choose, and sends it through your Mailgun account.
How to do it
- 01
Import the list
CSV or Excel. Include a column that appears in each file's name, such as an invoice number or ticket ID.
- 02
Upload the files
Upload the files individually or as a ZIP.
- 03
Match files to rows
Set a pattern like {{invoice}}.pdf. You can also attach shared files that everyone receives, such as terms and conditions.
- 04
Send
Send a test first, then start. Pause, resume or cancel at any time, and retry failed recipients later.
Example
| company | invoice | attached file | |
|---|---|---|---|
| [email protected] | Acme | INV-2041 | INV-2041.pdf |
| [email protected] | Globex | INV-2042 | INV-2042.pdf |
Filename pattern: {{invoice}}.pdf
Questions
- Can I combine personal and shared attachments?
- Yes. Shared files go to everyone, and the pattern-matched file is added per recipient.
- Are attachments sent from my own domain?
- Yes. Everything goes through your Mailgun account and sending domain.
